Today at tech we have been focusing on designing our logo's for our Charity boxes. I have created three designs and I am very proud of myself for what I have done. The site we used is called: logomakr.com. Below is the designs that I have created from today:

Last Day in Cooking Tech

Wednesday 23rd May 2018 - 23/05/18

Mrs Tuipulotu's Cooking Class

Today was the last day in Cooking at Technology. For the last day we made Egg Burgers. I worked with Joseph and I thought that he was a bit bossy but alright to work with.

The Ingredients we used were:

Toasted Burger Buns

Medium sized egg

Red Onion

Lettuce

Tomato

Mayonnaise

Cheese

I enjoyed my last day in Cooking and I look forward to the next Tech Class.

Cooking Class with Mrs Tuipulotu

Today at technology we made Bolognese Pasta. Maris stella and Joseph were in my group. During the process of mixing and adding the ingredients I think that each of us had a chance to do something whether it was to handle the frying pan, dice the ingredients or clean up.

The ingredients that we used were:

Spaghetti

Cold Water

Tomato Sauce

Meatballs

Cheese

What Did you Do at Tech:

Today at technology my class made Butter Chicken and Naan Bread. Everything about the Butter Chicken was great except for the chicken, the chicken wasn’t as nice but only because the chicken was overcooked. The Naan bread that we made was hard on the outside but soft on the inside.

What Did you Learn at Tech:

I learnt that using the right equipment is always important because using equipment that may be not in good use is not okay for the food and it also takes up most of your time.   

What Did you Learn at Tech:

The ingredients that we used for the Butter Chicken was:

Chicken, Flour, Oil, Sauce and Milk

The ingredients that we used for the Naan Bread was:

Flour, Oil, Yeast and Salt

Wednesday 11th April 2018 - 11/04/18

Cooking Class with Mrs. Tuipulotu

What Did you Do at Tech:

Today at Technology my partner Joseph and I made French Toast. I think we did okay but could’ve improved in being more tidy, clean and organised.

The ingredients we used were: 5 eggs, ½ cup of milk, and white bread.

We had to soak the halved pieces of bread into the bowl of mixture then fry it on a pan using a spatula and butter. As we waited for the bread to turn golden brown some of the results were disappointing and some of them were great. I had a very interesting time making the French Toast but I also enjoyed sharing it out with my classmates.

What Did you Do at Tech:

Today during cooking class the Year 8 students made Sponge Cake. My partner and I went through the process of making a sponge cake which was pretty easy.

Ingredients we used:

1 Cup of Self Raising Flour

3 Eggs

1 Cup of Sugar

Electric Whisk

Spatula

Making Muffins at Technology

Wednesday 07th March 2018 - 07/03/18

Today at Technology the Year 8 students made
Muffins and the Year 7 students made Tomato Soup.
The process of making muffins was really simple for
my group and I because all we did was mix different
ingredients together and then pour the mixture into the
muffin trays.

The Ingredients we used was: I cup of sugar

4 Eggs

1 Cup and a half of Self Rising Flour

Cooking Class with Mrs. Tuipulotu

What Did you Do at Tech:

Today in my class (Cooking) I baked a Sponge roll

with my partner Beni from Ruapotaka School. I was

very impressed with my finished product  because

I thought that I did really well with all the mixing

and stirring.

What Did you Learn at Tech:

In Cooking Class I learnt how to collaborate with

other students from another school. Doing this made

me feel very happy because I got the chance to do

own work as well as help others with theirs.
