Your description of food was so good, it made me hungry, and your travel tips were so helpful, I'll make sure to use them the next time I travel. I've never been to New Zealand, but I'd love to go someday. I'm so glad you got to learn about Canada, and are ready for our cold weather. I love your writing style! Keep on writing and have an awesome day!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925021378698558589.post-7859370509039922402017-01-10T05:49:34.517+13:002017-01-10T05:49:34.517+13:00Hi Mikaela. That just means there is tremendous variety of scenery, weather, resources, people and challenges!

As Rachel and Leslie said in their blogs, Canada is definitely worth a visit, and I hope you will get the chance to come here. Maybe not on a day like today, when it is -25 C and windy! Perhaps in the summer, when you'll be able to get the most delicious hamburger, chips and milk shakes ever at the Dairy Queen restaurant on Merivale Road in Ottawa, where all the cool kids in the neighbourhood bring their cool cars to be admired on Wednesday nights! You can see this restaurant here:

https://www.facebook.com/Dairy-Queen-Merivale-Road-180333832135925/

Congratulations on completing this project!

cheers, KelseyKelseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01867866059228595667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925021378698558589.post-48070383441604699582017-01-06T16:18:43.005+13:002017-01-06T16:18:43.005+13:00Hi Mikaela,

Those are favourites of mine too!

I think you give good advice about traveling - it is very important to keep track of the airline you're flying on so that you don't miss your flight and other connecting flights and so that you know which part of the airport to go to in order to get on the right plane at the right time! And, having a plan for transportation once you've arrived in another country is very important as well! There's nothing worse than arriving in a new place without any idea as to how you're going to get to wherever you're staying or to the places you're hoping to visit! You made good points!

I hope that you can visit Canada one day and then tell your family and friends about this huge country of ours! Canada is so large that it takes days to travel by car from one coast to another. And there are so many different kinds of environments within Canada that it can be hard to describe - we have mountain ranges in the west and also in the east. We have a huge prairie in the middle of the country, the arctic in the north and the Canadian Shield in Ontario and Quebec which is a very rocky area, heavily covered by trees and scrub. So Canada is a lot of different things to different people. Come and see one day!

Leslie
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15287865052490441767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925021378698558589.post-85443926211154902692017-01-06T16:18:32.020+13:002017-01-06T16:18:32.020+13:00Hi Mikaela,

You have done a fabulous job. Way to go, Mikaela!!

I hope that you have enjoyed the journey. It sounds like you have learned a lot about Canada's weather and about the best way to travel to/from North America. You are right to note that you need to be aware of your airlines and ensure that you pay careful attention to your flight details. It would be awful to miss a flight, wouldn't it?

As long as you do pay attention to the details you will definitely get home safely and be able to enjoy your treat meal. I love your choice of hamburgers, tropical juice and chocolate ice cream cones. Waffle cones really are the best, aren't they? I love them, as well. Perhaps you could treat yourself to a chocolate cone as a reward for finishing the Summer Learning Journey.

In my opinion, you have definitely earned a treat!

Rachel :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10992026915931452376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925021378698558589.post-66758718797615566112017-01-05T12:32:02.765+13:002017-01-05T12:32:02.765+13:00Hey Mikaela,
