I'd be pretty chuffed if I woke up to pancakes with maple syrup poured over the top, what a great way to start a holiday.

Most of the time my breakfast is really boring, and I just have toast with a cup of coffee. But sometimes as a treat on the weekends I'll make bacon and eggs which is my favourite thing to have for breakfast!

Roast lamb is probably my favourite kind of roast to have. Especially with mint sauce! Whenever we go to visit my partner's family in the South Island, they always cook up a leg of roast lamb on a Sunday afternoon. What do you think your favourite food is? I'm not sure I could pick just one favourite, there are so many different ones I could choose.

Right, anymore talk of food and I might have to cook a second dinner at this rate!

Great blogging Mikaela :-)

Dan.Dan Abricossowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14179679544343669201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925021378698558589.post-22926993511574082162016-12-30T03:53:32.333+13:002016-12-30T03:53:32.333+13:00Hi Mikaela,
What a lovely photo of your aunty hav...Hi Mikaela,

What a lovely photo of your aunty having lamb and potatoes! When I first came to visit New Zealand in 1978 I ate a lot of lamb and potatoes because that's what was offered at the university residence where my boyfriend lived at the time. I enjoyed the lamb very much and I couldn't help noticing how many many many lambs there were dotted around the countryside as I traveled through New Zealand as a tourist. There seemed to be many more lambs and sheep than people! Is that still true?

I'm glad that you think you would enjoy eating pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast! My husband and I have pancakes as a special treat breakfast, with maple syrup that has been produced here in our small community. There are many maple trees in our area and each spring they are tapped so that the maple sap can run into buckets, be collected and then boiled down into syrup. It's very very delicious for sure!!

Most of the time, however, my husband and I eat Muesli cereal with milk and whole meal toast with peanut butter. We try to eat foods that don't contain too much sugar.

You mention eating breakfast crackers. I'm not familiar with those. I wonder what they are like?

I hope you're enjoying some nice treats over the holiday time! Keep up your super blogging!

LeslieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15287865052490441767noreply@blogger.com
